Pray, to have eyes that are quick to assess, but never judge; to have a mind that thinks clearly, anticipating danger; to have a heart that understands the vulnerability of patients, but awareness of those who attempt coercion; the mindfulness to listen, more than speaking; the strength to carry on through eternal self doubt; to maintain humor, when nothing seems to make sense; the objectivity & reserve to put aside any personal conflicts, and concentrate on the task at hand; the willingness to admit errors, and the courage it takes to learn from them; to have a soul, one that reflects well on the day’s events - mindful of mistakes, and honesty in what can be improved upon. Pray, to have wisdom and resolve to do what is right, even if others do not agree, and the fierce fire to begin again tomorrow with a little resilience, when things go wrong.
